Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) has developed a new type of recovered carbon black with improved dispersion properties. The new type of carbon black has been developed to meet demand from the tire and rubber industry. The new type of carbon black has been produced for some time at Enviro’s plant in Åsensbruk, Sweden, and has acquired properties enhancing its interaction with other chemicals and ingredients when manufacturing tires and rubber parts, for example.

The Tire and Rubber Association of Canada (TRAC) announced its new Board of Directors following its Annual General Meeting of members held on June 14, 2023. At that meeting, the members elected Lawrence Kumar of Yokohama Tire (Canada) as a new Director. Based in Langley, B.C., Mr. Kumar has over two decades of experience in the tire industry and is currently the Controller at Yokohama Tire (Canada). “We welcome Lawrence to the TRAC Board. Scandinavian Enviro Systems (publ) (Enviro) has hired Fredrik Emilson, former CEO of Höganäs AB, as the company's new Chief Executive Officer. Emilson takes office in February 2024 at the same time as current CEO Thomas Sörensson moves to a role as senior advisor. Fredrik Emilson comes most recently from Höganäs AB, where he worked since 2010 and from 2017 as CEO. During his time at Höganäs AB, Fredrik also held the role of European manager followed by the role of responsible for Asia. Höganäs is the world leader in metal powder solutions with sales totaling approximately MSEK 12,000 and with 2,400 employees globally.

As the construction of the Uddevalla recycling plant continues, Scandinavian Enviro Systems AB (publ) has released a half-year report. Second quarter 2024: Net revenues for the period were MSEK 58.5(3.6) Earnings after tax for the period were MSEK 30.5 (-25.3) Earnings per share for the period (before dilution) was SEK 0.04 (-0.03)

Enviro's recovered carbon black has been used by Swedish rubber and plastic manufacturer AnVa to develop climarub, one of the world’s first completely climate-neutral rubber compounds. “The launch clearly demonstrates the great commercial value of recycling in achieving climate neutrality,” says Fredrik Emilson, CEO of Enviro.

Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) – a Swedish tire pyrolysis equipment manufacturer and operator – reports it has received an order for 60 tons of recovered carbon black from a major European tire manu-facturer in the premium segment. Reportedly, the tire manufacturer will use the carbon black for produc-tion tests as a step in its efforts to increase the proportion of recovered and renewable materials in their tires.
