Arrigoni Ambiental NFU SpA has become one of the leading players in Chile’s end-of-life tyre (ELT) recovery sector, positioning itself as a regional model for circular economy solutions. Founded in 2019, the company was established through an alliance between the Arrigoni business group and pioneers in pyrolysis technologies.

Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum), a pioneer in the sustainable recycling of end-of-life tyres (ELTs) based on its patented pyrolysis technology, has achieved 72 out of 100 points in imug's ESG rating. The company's overall sustainability performance is therefore rated as "very good". The rating by imug, one of the leading sustainability rating agencies in Germany and a specialist in environmental, social and governance (ESG) research, was carried out in the first quarter of 2023 and is based on several areas of investigation. Pyrum scored particularly well in the area of "products and services", where the company received full marks. Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum), a pioneer in the sustainable recycling of end-of-life tires (ELT) based on its patented pyrolysis technology, has commissioned the first automated, semi-industrial recycling plant for carbon fiber-reinforced plastics (CFRP) after almost four years of development. This is the first time CFRP has been holistically recycled worldwide. The plant is located at the main factory in Dillingen/Saar and will serve as the cornerstone for the construction of an industrial plant. This opens up another promising market for Pyrum alongside the recycling of used tires. Fiber-reinforced composites, which include CFRP, are used in a wide variety of areas, including the transport industry in the production of passenger cars and commercial vehicles, aviation and public transport.

This joint venture announces the final investment decision for the construction of its first used tire recycling plant. Antin and Enviro entered into the joint venture in March of 2023 to build a series of plants in chosen European geographies.

Circtec Ltd, one of the global leaders in end-of-life tyre chemical recycling through pyrolysis technology has acquired Granuband B.V., a leading Netherlands end-of-life tyre collection and recycling company. With a substantial recycling plant in the industrial port of Amsterdam, capable of processing 50,000 tonnes per year of end-of-life tyres into granulate, moulded products and tyre chips, Granuband is one of the main end-of-life tyre recycling companies in the Benelux region.

As reported by Market Screener, Pyrolyx AG – an internationally renowned producer of recovered carbon black from end-of-life tires – recently announced that it would continue the current shut down of its recovered carbon black (rCB) manufacturing facilities in Terre Haute, Indiana and Stegelitz, Germany, which was at first announced on March 24, 2020. During the shutdown of its manufacturing facilities, Pyrolyx is reviewing operational and financial requirements to reopen facilities safely and efficiently at a later point of time.
