According to Tokai Carbon Co., Ltd., the company has completed the acquisition of Bridgestone Carbon Black (Thailand) Co., Ltd. from Bridgestone Corporation and Asahi Carbon Co., Ltd., marking a strategic expansion of its carbon black business in Southeast Asia. The transaction, valued at approximately THB 2.05 billion (USD 56 million), was finalized on September 30, 2025.

CTS Tyre Recycling is strengthening Australia’s circular economy by moving beyond traditional recycling toward full-scale remanufacturing of rubber products. Based in Neerabup, Western Australia, the company and its manufacturing arm Throughcycle Rubber are part of the Cometti Group, a family-owned business with more than 40 years of experience in the tyre industry.

Two of Australia’s leading industrial companies, Fenner Conveyors and Tyrecycle, have announced a new partnership aimed at improving sustainability in bulk materials handling and mining. The collaboration unites Fenner’s expertise in conveyor belt manufacturing with Tyrecycle’s experience in rubber recycling, both underpinned by strong Australian manufacturing foundations and global reach. Together, the companies plan to develop circular systems that extend the life of rubber products and reduce the environmental impact of mining operations.

Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA) has released its 2024–25 Annual Report, themed Cultivating Connections, celebrating collaboration across industries to advance the circular tyre economy in Australia. The report reflects growing partnerships between manufacturers, recyclers, researchers, mining companies, and local governments, all contributing to stronger circular outcomes for end-of-life tyres.

The European Union’s REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006) has long set the benchmark for chemicals legislation worldwide. Since entering into force in 2007, REACH has reshaped how industries produce, import, and use chemical substances. Its philosophy is straightforward but demanding: “no data, no market.” Companies must generate safety data and register any substance manufactured or imported in quantities of one ton or more per year. While waste itself is exempt, once a waste-derived product—such as pyrolysis oil, recovered carbon black (rCB), or syngas—achieves end-of-waste status, it is treated as a chemical substance and falls within REACH obligations.

The Circular Rubber Platform, in collaboration with Elastomer Research Testing BV, will host a two-day training course titled Training Circular Rubber on December 9–10, 2025, in Deventer, the Netherlands. The program is designed to provide an accessible introduction to rubber technology with a strong focus on circularity and sustainability.

Eco Infinic announced that the second-phase expansion of its Chon Buri, Thailand facility will be completed by the end of 2025. Upon completion, the plant’s capacity to process end-of-life tires will increase to 100,000 metric tons per year, while annual production capacity of recovered carbon black (rCB) and tire pyrolysis oil (TPO) will reach 30,000 metric tons and 35,000 metric tons, respectively, significantly expanding the company’s overall production scale.
