Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) – a Swedish tire pyrolysis equipment manufacturer and operator – reports it has received an order for 60 tons of recovered carbon black from a major European tire manu-facturer in the premium segment. Reportedly, the tire manufacturer will use the carbon black for produc-tion tests as a step in its efforts to increase the proportion of recovered and renewable materials in their tires.

Bridgestone Corporation – a global tire manufacturer – announced the launch of a joint research and development program with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Tohoku University, ENEOS Corporation and JGC HOLDINGS CORPORATION. This program is aimed at developing chemical recycling technologies that utilize end-of-life tires to achieve high-yield production of isoprene, a raw material for synthetic rubber.
