Innovative sea-cleaning technology using activated carbon from recycled tires will be highlighted at the 30th ETRA Conference on Tyre Recycling. The project, led by Prof. Fabrizio Quadrini, has successfully integrated porous tablets made from tire-derived activated carbon into smart buoys designed for oil adsorption and marine monitoring.

The European Tyre Recycling Association (ETRA) has opened its call for papers for the 30th ETRA Conference on Tyre Recycling, scheduled for the end of March 2025. Themed 30 Years of Tyre Recycling: Innovations to Build the Future, the conference will highlight key achievements in tire recycling over the past three decades and explore cutting-edge innovations shaping the industry's future.

The 30th Annual ETRA Conference on Tyre Recycling, titled “30 Years of Tyre Recycling: Innovations to Build the Future”, will take place on 25-27 March 2025 at Le Louise Hotel, Brussels. This milestone event will reflect on three decades of progress and explore future opportunities driven by innovation and EU-supported initiatives.
