InnoVent Renewables has been selected by Mexico’s National Rubber Industry Association, Cámara Nacional de la Industria Hulera, to receive an award recognizing its contribution to circularity and responsible management of end-of-life tires in Mexico. The recognition will be presented during Expo Hule 2026, with Mexico’s Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources, SEMARNAT, expected to participate in the ceremony. InnoVent operates a continuous tire pyrolysis plant in Monterrey, Nuevo León, where end-of-life tires are processed into secondary products including recovered carbon black, tire-derived oil, recycled steel and rubber crumb. The award highlights the growing role of tire recycling and pyrolysis technologies in Mexico as the country works to improve management of end-of-life tires and retain more recovered materials within productive industrial value chains.

Global commodities trader Gunvor Group has changed its name to Centalion Group Ltd. and plans to move its corporate headquarters from Cyprus to Singapore following a management-led ownership change. The new identity took effect in October 2026 after an internal referendum in July and is intended to reflect both the company’s new ownership structure and its expansion beyond traditional oil trading into natural gas, metals and power. The development is also relevant to the tire pyrolysis sector because the former Gunvor signed a strategic agreement with Hungary-based New Energy in 2025 to purchase tire pyrolysis oil produced from end-of-life tires for use as refinery feedstock. While the rebranding announcement does not indicate any change to that cooperation, future activities under the agreement would now take place under the Centalion identity.

Following the restructuring, Niutech’s registered activities now formally cover resource recycling technology R&D, machinery research and development, specialized equipment manufacturing and new materials development. The expanded scope is intended to align the corporate structure more closely with the company’s activities in waste conversion technology and circular raw materials.

Over the past year, the tire pyrolysis industry has absorbed several important changes in sustainability certification. In February 2026, Weibold examined how ISCC EU Mass Balance Guidance Version 1.2 tightened attribute assignment for mixed-origin materials such as end-of-life tires. In May, we discussed the increasingly relevant RCF pathway for the fossil fraction of ELTs. And in August, we looked more broadly at how these and other regulatory developments were changing the commercial identity of tire pyrolysis oil.

Pyrum Innovations AG has introduced a new corporate identity intended to reflect its development from a tire recycling company into a broader technology provider for circular raw materials. The rebranding includes a new logo, revised corporate design, a redesigned website and the new claim “Rethink Resources,” which the company says expresses its focus on recovering valuable raw materials from waste and returning them to industrial production cycles. Pyrum positions its proprietary thermolysis technology at the center of this strategy, using it to process end-of-life tires and certain plastics into products including tire-derived oil and recovered carbon black. The new identity is also intended to support Pyrum’s international expansion and the scaling of its technology as the company develops additional recycling projects and partnerships in Europe.

ISCC has released Version 1.1 of its ISCC PLUS Mass Balance Guidance Document, providing further clarification on bookkeeping, attribution options and the calculation of certified shares under ISCC PLUS.
