Valebridge Media Services (VMS), the organizers of the 2023 Recircle Awards, the event organized to promote and recognise sustainable innovation, production processes, management and services in the tire retreading and recycling sector, have revealed the final four award categories for the 2023 event. This year these four categories will be judged by the 14-strong Nominations Committee, which consists of independent industry experts, primarily industry journalists and trade association professionals.

Valebridge Media Services (VMS), the international media services company in Crewe (United Kingdom) and Madrid (Spain), has announced the shortlist of nominees for the 2023 edition of the Recircle Awards, the event organised to promote and recognise sustainable innovation, production processes, management and services in the tire retreading and recycling sector. The shortlist, chosen from a preliminary list of candidates nominated by the public has once again been compiled by the Recircle Awards Nominations Committee made up of 14 experts, including respected tire industry journalists, industry association heads and independent consultants from around the world.

Scandinavian Enviro Systems AB (Enviro) is once again nominated at the Recircle Awards, this year in the Tyre Pyrolysis Award category. In addition, CEO Thomas Sörensson is nominated for the Best Company Director award. Enviro has previously won the Tyre Pyrolysis Award twice and Best Tyre Recycler last year. "Enviro is making international progress and our technology is constantly being recognized, it is a great honor to be nominated together with other important sustainability players. Awards like this further highlight the importance of circular solutions for tire recycling," says Thomas Sörensson, CEO of Enviro.

Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum) – a pioneer in the sustainable recycling of end-of-life tires (ELT) based on its patented pyrolysis technology – has received the ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management system following a comprehensive audit. As a result, the company now meets all the important criteria for being allowed to supply its recovered carbon black (rCB) to the automotive industry. The rCB is used in the tire industry for the production of new tires, as well as in the plastics and electrical industries. Pyrum had previously received ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system and silver status in the EcoVadis sustainability ranking. A year ago, Pyrum also signed a development agreement with premium tire manufacturer Continental to produce high quality recovered carbon black for Continental's tire production. The final hurdle has now been cleared with ISO 14001 certification.

The Communications Department representative of Neusus Upcycling, Laura García, was featured in the 44th episode of The Tyre Recycling Podcast, which can now be viewed on YouTube. In 2019, Neusus Upcycling was established to provide a new purpose for end-of-life tire rubber. The company specializes in developing urban planning solutions that promote sustainability in cities. Neusus Upcycling envisions a future where end-of-life tires are properly managed and reintroduced into the circular economy.

Plans for the 2023 Recircle Awards have been revealed by Valebridge Media Services (VMS), a global media services agency with offices in Crewe, the United Kingdom; Madrid, Spain; and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The third annual Recircle Awards will recognize sustainable innovation, production methods, management, and services within the tyre retreading and recycling industries. A total of 22 awards, representing a broad and balanced variety of categories from the whole tyre business, will be presented at the Recircle Awards in 2023. Two of the category winners for 2023 will be revealed and awarded their prizes at a significant premiere ceremony that will take place on Wednesday, March 8 during the Tyrexpo Asia exhibition in Singapore.

Pyrum Innovations AG ("Pyrum"), a pioneer in the sustainable recycling of end-of-life tyres (ELT) based on its patented pyrolysis technology, has further expanded its cooperation network. In a pilot project with the BMW Group, Pyrum has recently began recycling the used tyres of the BMW Group branch in Saarland. The pilot project was preceded by an audit in which topics such as occupational safety and fire protection, permits and environmental requirements were examined.
