Scandinavian Enviro Systems – a Swedish tire pyrolysis operator and equipment manufacturer – invites owners and representatives of the capital markets and media to participate in a virtual Capital Markets presentation on Friday, October 15th, 2021, between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. CET. Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) – a Swedish tire pyrolysis equipment supplier and operator – reports it has received an order from Michelin for engineering services and technical documentation at a value of approximately SEK 4 million (EUR 400,000). According to the company, the order includes engineering services as well as documentation for Enviro’s patented technology for material recovery of end-of-life-tires and form a basis for the negotiations about a strategic partnership, which the parties have been engaged in since April 2020.

Former Bridgestone plant in French city of Béthune will collect, sort and retread passenger car tires. The agreement on this has been reached by a French retreading specialist Black-Star with the car maintenance company Mobivia with the help of Bridgestone. An integrated tire recycling ecosystem that relies on the circular economy and gives scrap tires a second life will be developed on a special industrial site with the support of iWip subsidiary. Mobivia will provide its auto centers for tire collection. From there, scrap tires will be transported and retreaded. The recycling process will help save up to 80 percent of the original material used in tire production. Each tire will be recycled into 9 kg of rubber and steel.

After the news about the protest went viral on social media, the Department of Environment and the district Land Office decided to take measures. Their representatives went to the plant to negotiate with the facility’s owner. However, he refused to open the door. Swedish tire pyrolysis equipment manufacturer and tire recycler Scandinavian Enviro Systems has presented its new forecast for recovered carbon black (rCB) market which is expected to reach over $490 million by 2023. This can be explained by a projected demand growth for recovered carbon black and certified carbon black produced by Enviro; the materials are expected to see demand increase due to a deficit of virgin carbon black.

Renowned tire pyrolysis equipment manufacturer Scandinavian Enviro Systems (known as Enviro) has decided to launch a holding company in the USA to facilitate its establishment of co-owned tire pyrolysis plants on the US market. Recently, Enviro published a press release disclosing details of the decision. “Our new strategy means that Enviro wants to become part-owner of plants based on our technology as it provides good revenue opportunities. However, becoming a partner places other requirements on company structures, and it is from this perspective that the decision to establish a holding company in the US market should be seen”, says Thomas Sörensson, CEO Enviro.

The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) says it is now accepting applications for fiscal year 2023 Recycling and Illegal Dumping (RAID) Fund grants for scrap tire management, illegal dumpsite abatement, recycling and composting projects.

U.S. tire producers have attained considerable success in sustainability promotion as over 80 percent scrap tires that had been generated in the state, managed to find application on end markets in 2017, the U.S Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) asserted in its detailed report. The new report also revealed that USTMA’s members managed to reduce almost 10 percent the level of carbon dioxide emissions since 2010.
