Recently, SIGNUS Ecovalor has published the Guide to highlight the different uses of recycled tire materials in urban environments (pavements, urban furniture, etc.). This Guide, primarily aimed at municipalities, is designed to be a helpful tool in fulfilling their commitment to the Circular Economy in cities and addressing the need to incorporate ecological criteria in public procurement. This will enable administrations to promote and contribute to economic and environmental sustainability goals through their activities.

Among the main uses to which the material from end-of-life tires went in 2019, 39,011 tons of recycled tire rubber went for the construction of 390 soccer fields, 21,900 tons for the manufacture of 4,380 playgrounds and 2,940 tons that were used in paving 280 kilometers of roads.

Spanish waste managing agency Signus has presented its new green badge T – it will be provided to Spanish tire recyclers that comply with the group’s environmental standards. Currently, over 850 tire workshops have been granted this honorable badge – this indicates that the organizations have already met Signus’s requirements that have been established so the broader environmental goals are met.
