Scandinavian Enviro Systems AB (Enviro) – a tyre pyrolysis operator and equipment supplier from Sweden – has submitted an application for a construction permit through the property owner, Fratera, for the planned recycling plant in Uddevalla, Sweden. The construction permit application pertains to the previously announced recycling plant that the company plans to establish on an industrial site in the Lillesjö district of Uddevalla Municipality.

MotoE is a racing series for electric motorcycles that is being held for the third year. Michelin is the supplier of tires to the race participants and, ahead of this year’s season, has produced a tire that has significantly less environmental impact due to its high content of recycled materials, including recovered carbon black supplied by Enviro. According to Michelin, tests during the spring showed that the new and more sustainable tires contribute to shorter lap times, while they also heat up more quickly, with improved grip as a result.

With the assistance of Monitor via Modular Finance, Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) has prepared a register of the 15 largest owners of the company as of June 30, 2023. The oil and carbon black that Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) recovers from end-of-life vehicle tires in its plant in Åsensbruk have received new certification in accordance with the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) scheme. It is the second time that the recovered carbon black and oil from the facility in Åsensbruk has received renewed certification in accordance with ISCC, International Sustainability & Carbon Certification.

Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) has renewed a delivery agreement concerning pyrolysis oil from the Åsensbruk facility with a leading American oil company. The ISCC EU certified oil will be used by the oil company for the production of biofuel. The order accounts for 100% of the annual production of 750 tons of ISCC EU certified oil at Åsensbruk and the oil company has expressed a demand for substantially larger volumes.

The construction of the end-of-life tire recycling plant in Sweden will be based on Enviro’s unique pyrolysis technology with the ability to extract raw materials from multi-component products. This joint venture announces the final investment decision for the construction of its first used tire recycling plant. Antin and Enviro entered into the joint venture in March of 2023 to build a series of plants in chosen European geographies.

Scandinavian Enviro Systems (publ) has appointed Christian Bergaust as the new interim CFO. Bergaust comes most recently from the role of CFO at Alelion Energy Systems and previous assignments include that of CFO at listed Elos Medtech AB. Christian Bergaust took office on November 13 and will work in parallel with the current CFO Staffan Kullberg until he leaves in connection with the report for the third quarter on November 23 in accordance with what was previously announced.

Michelin has produced a new version of its motorcycle racing tire, with an even higher share of environmentally sustainable material ahead of the MotoE World Cup motorcycle racing series. The new version consists of an average of 40% sustainable material, a significant portion of which is recovered carbon black (rCB) supplied by Enviro. At the same time, Michelin has taken another step towards mass production of its tire with improved sustainability performance.

Anva Polytech has announced a significant reduction in emissions—over 1,000,000 kg of CO₂ equivalents—by incorporating recovered carbon black (rCB) from Scandinavian Enviro Systems into its rubber products.
