An Austrian company Dyntex focuses on innovative ideas to produce high quality textiles. Sustainability is aided by ultra-light materials created from post-consumer recyclate (PCR). As a product innovation, Dyntex, a developer and manufacturer of functional materials based in Bregenz, Austria, is offering high-quality fabrics created from recycled vehicle tires. An novel thermo-chemical procedure is used to recover a polyamide polymer from worn tires.

Royal Mat has been welcomed as a new member of the Tire and Rubber Association of Canada (TRAC). Royal Mat is based in Beauceville, Quebec, and produces rubber crumb and a range of rubber surfaces. TRAC President and CEO Carol Hochu states, "We are thrilled to have Royal Mat join our Association. Royal Mat is a pioneer in the field of tire recycling and the manufacture of high-quality recycled rubber goods. We look forward to a long-term, constructive collaboration that will benefit both parties."

As the Biden Administration continues to coordinate the implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA), joined by 15 stakeholder organizations sent a joint letter highlighting available technologies to support national infrastructure improvements: rubber modified asphalt and tire derived aggregate. The letter outlined the benefits of these materials and identified the specific provisions within the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law where these materials would qualify for consideration.

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company announced at the 2022 Waste Expo trade show, a new formulation of its popular Endurance™ WHA waste haul tire made with a renewable soybean oil compound. The Endurance WHA is now made with soybean oil, which replaces a portion of the petroleum-based materials used in its production.

Recently, staff at the wildlife area displayed more than 500 illegally dumped tires they’ve collected over the past two years in the wildlife area.

The International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) Plus standard has been applied at a Tokai Carbon CB facility in Borger, Texas. The ISCC Plus standard will enable the company to certify carbon blacks as sustainable if they have been produced from a circular or bio-based feedstock.
