InfraCo Global Limited (InfraCo) has established a new subsidiary, REVYRE Global Polymers Pty Ltd (RGP) and entered into a global agreement with Advanced Sustainable Polymers Pte Ltd of Singapore. Tyromer Inc is a technology spin-off from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada dedicated to solving the global problem of scrap tires. Tyromer has developed a patented technology that converts scrap tires into a devulcanized rubber compound

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company announced at the 2022 Waste Expo trade show, a new formulation of its popular Endurance™ WHA waste haul tire made with a renewable soybean oil compound. The Endurance WHA is now made with soybean oil, which replaces a portion of the petroleum-based materials used in its production.

The logo and the visual communication of the main Italian operator in the management of end-of-life tires has changed. Ecopneus, the main operator in the management of end-of-life tires in Italy, has renewed the logo and visual communication, aiming to consolidate the positioning and recognition of Ecopneus, giving a further impetus towards the challenges and opportunities of the ecological transition that the country faces.

Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife reports that a low-level tire dumping is a problem all over the United States. State Fish and Wildlife officials are asking people to stop dumping tires in the Colombia Basin of the Colombia River. Recently, staff at the wildlife area displayed more than 500 illegally dumped tires they’ve collected over the past two years in the wildlife area.

The International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) Plus standard has been applied at a Tokai Carbon CB facility in Borger, Texas. The ISCC Plus standard will enable the company to certify carbon blacks as sustainable if they have been produced from a circular or bio-based feedstock. The ISCC Plus standard uses a mass balance approach to allow enterprises that use circular or bio-based feedstocks

Italian Life Sneak project for surfaces optimization against noise and vibrations caused by tramway track and road traffic will be presented on May 23 in Rome. This new project, in which Ecopneus is a partner, will be held at the Cicerone Hotel, Rome, in collaboration with VIE EN.RO.SE. INGEGNERIA S.r.l, ASSTRA, MOPI S.r.l, University of Florence – Department of Industrial Engineering, and Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria – Department of Information, Infrastructure, and Sustainable Energy Engineering.

Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum) – a pioneer in the sustainable recycling of end-of-life tires based on its pyrolysis technology – has started test operation of its new pelletiser at its plant site in Dillingen. The pelletiser enables the recovered carbon black (rCB) obtained by means of the pyrolysis process to be bonded into pellets, which increases the transportability as well as facilitates the further processing of the raw material.

Autopromotec is an international exhibition dedicated to automotive equipment and the aftermarket held in Bologna from May 25 to 28, 2022, where more than 1,200 companies will participate. According to Autopromotec, the quarter of all participants are international visitors. As part of this international exhibition, the conference on “The future of tire retreading and recycling” will take place on May 26th. Weibold will be represented by pyrolysis expert Claus Lamer, who will talk about the state of the art of chemical recycling (pyrolysis) of end-of-life tires, current trends, and opportunities.
