Enviro's planned pyrolysis plant in Uddevalla received construction permit

Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) – a Swedish tire pyrolysis operator and equipment manufacturer – announced that in accordance with Enviro's wishes the property owner Fratera has been granted construction permit for the planned recycling plant in Uddevalla, Sweden. The construction permit pertains to the previously announced recycling plant that Enviro plans to establish on an industrial site in the Lillesjö district of Uddevalla Municipality, Sweden.

Tyre Recycling Solutions (TRS) – an innovative tire recycling company from Switzerland – announced the official inauguration of the new TyreXol™ MMA production line. According to TRS, TyreXol™ MMA is produced with local end-of-life tires and serves as a more sustainable rubberized asphalt mixture, with a longer useful life, produced at lower temperature than usual hot asphalt mixes and driving towards real circular economy.

The plant breeder Kartoffelzucht Böhm has increased the research network for the Taraxagum project, which aims to harvest natural rubber from dandelion. Gaining even more influence over dandelions' breeding is the goal of the reinforcement. “We are pleased to welcome another plant cultivation specialist to our network. The internationally active company Böhm has great experience in the breeding of cultivated plants. These are ideal prerequisites for our Taraxagum project,” commented Dr. Carla Recker, Head of the Expert field Materials Chemistry and Taraxagum at Continental Tires.

Recently, Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA) launched the funding for Australian designed, developed and built solutions that will increase tyre resource recovery and decrease the burden of waste for future generations. TSA has already provided $8 million across 56 projects that increase consumption of Australian tyre derived material, made by Australian recyclers, from locally generated used tyres.

Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum) reports in its press release it won the MATERIALICA Design + Technology Award 2022 together with BASF SE, Mercedes-Benz AG and WITTE Automotive GmbH. The jury honoured the four companies with the Best of Award in the Material category for the innovative new door handles of the Mercedes S-Class and the EQE, in the production of which fossil raw materials are replaced by biomethane and pyrolysis oil from recycled end-of-life tyres (ELT). Together, this closes the cycle of recyclable materials and actively promotes the development of innovative recycling processes, Pyrum says.
