Italy-based EcoTyre shared its first results of devlucanization initiative saying that the process gave outstanding results when used on retreaded Hankook tires. Some materials that rely on devulcanized rubber were used in tire retreads; according to EcoTyre, this method brought positive outcomes of the testing and the company now seeks to apply more devulcanized rubber in retreads as well as in new tires.

On November 11-15 this year, one of the most industrialized cities of Mexico, Queretaro, is hosting the XV Latin American Conference on Rubber Technology that will also shed light on future and potential developments in tire recycling in North and South America. It is anticipated that the event will unite representatives of public sector and businesses; thus, it will become a sound platform for networking where visitors could offer their services and products. China’s Henan Province now has a tire recycling facility with an annual processing capacity of 100,000 tons of tires – it can recycle scrap tires and not pollute the environment – this move helps the Asian country reinforce the sustainable trends in economy. George Monbiot, a columnist for The Guardian stated that Britain was avoiding tire recycling in the country and was sending instead huge cargos of scrap tires to India. The Latin American & Caribbean Tyre Expo 2019 that takes place in Panama will be held earlier than previously arranged – on June 26-28, after Panama’s new convention center, Amador, has failed to meet construction deadlines. Latin Expo Group L.L.C also warned that even though it was earlier advertised that the event is scheduled to take place simultaneously with the Latin Auto Parts Expo, these plans had been canceled with the latter being rescheduled for July 17-19. The Atlapa Convention Center will serve as a venue where the expo will be hosted.

Thus, Bandvulc Group has gradually gained a status of the UK’s key fleet management service provider that also functions as a truck tire retreader.

TreadWright, a US-based company that renovates old tires in a sustainable manner producing a totally new rubber for vehicles, claims that their innovative product is cost-effective, durable, top-quality and environment-friendly. The company takes used tire casings and remolds new rubber onto the old casings– this procedure prevents accumulation of waste tires on landfills and finds use for thousands of discarded tires.
