To make the project transparent, EMJAC’s CEO Meng Kwan and his partners came up with a special system that can enable users to watch the stream of the entire scrap tires processing routine, as well as they can purchase, sell and trade created energy into the cryptocurrency. Meng Kwan noted that he now wants the global community to take part in his blockchain project so it would become possible to reach sustainability.

The European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers’ Association (ETRMA) reacted last week to the novel scientific investigation by the Air Quality Expert Group (AQEG) on tire and road wear particles (TRWP) that conventionally form part of non-exhaust emissions, saying that it welcomed it and was carefully reviewing the probe. The association agreed with the researchers’ conclusion that there is the need for more studies that would help understand better non-exhaust emissions from scientific perspective.

The US state of Nebraska has awarded over $960,000 to more than 60 tire recycling and collection initiatives; earlier, the state obtained more than $1.4 million in eligible requests, the US media reported citing Nebraska’s authorities. The funding will support local efforts aimed at reducing environmental and health challenges posed by waste tires. The money awarded is considered enough to remove more than 400,000 passenger tires.

Spain has taken a step to get rid of scrap tires from beaches as part of the Libera Project. The measure united well-known brands and corporations such as Pirelli Tires, Michelin, Goodyear and others; they joined Signus – Spanish scrap tire management authority – and the Network of Marine Rangers to advance the program labeled “1 Square Metre by Nature”. All parties involved in the initiative sought an aim to effectively remove and manage waste tires so they could be reused.

Scandinavian company Enviro stated that it conducts negotiations with a US company EE-TDF Cleveland LLC, a Denmark-based WindSpace A/S, and a Canada-based enterprise Treadcraft Limited after voicing earlier plans to construct tire recycling facilities that would rely on its patented tire pyrolysis technology. Even though the initial deadline has passed, Enviro says that the chances for realization of these plans remain quite high. The construction has been discussed by the parties for more than a year.
